Rockbank Primary School is the designated neighbourhood government school for Rockbank and surrounding areas.

Welcome to Rockbank Primary School.

Children of school age have the right to be admitted to their designated neighbourhood government school at the beginning of the school year (or when relevant) unless an approved alternative placement has been arranged.

Our School Zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.

The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

2027 Foundation (Prep) Enrolments

All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.

You can apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027 from Monday 20 April 2026 and submit the enrolment application by Friday 31 July 2026.

For students commencing school for the first time, new to the government system or students transferring from another school please complete an Enrolment – Expression of Interest Form.

Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). Approved entry criteria for our school for the 2026 school year are:

students who live within the school zone
students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.

All students seeking enrolment at our school must meet one of the above criteria to be eligible for enrolment in 2026.

The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary for the subsequent school year.
